You have completed An Intermediate Guide to Writing in English for University Study, the second course of the University of Reading’s program Writing in English for University Study and we would like to offer you a place on this final assessment course. The final assessment enables you to revise, practise and then test the knowledge and skills you have gained in the Writing in English for University program.
Please note, there are only 50 spaces available on this course and these will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, we plan to run this program again soon.
About the assessment course
You will produce a written assignment (500-600 words excluding a list of references) in English on the topic of water privatisation, which you read about and discussed with other learners during the intermediate level course. It will be marked by a tutor from the University of Reading’s International Study and Language Institute. You will be assessed and given individualised, written feedback on task achievement, organisation of ideas, academic style, and on range and accuracy of grammar and vocabulary to help ensure you can further develop your academic English for study success.
The assessment course starts on 20 November. The deadline for submitting your assignment is 10 December 2017 at 23:59 (UTC). You will receive feedback by 24.00 (UTC) on Sunday 19 December.
More detailed information about the assessment course can be found here.
